Job description
Are you a dog lover? Imagine spending your days surrounded by playful dogs, making their tails wag and their hearts happy. If this sounds like a dream come true, then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
At the Dogcity, we are a social hub for dogs, offering daycare, playtime, and boarding services for our furry friends. Located in West Seattle, we are seeking reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as dog handlers. While prior experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right candidate who shares our love and dedication for dogs.
As a dog wrangler, you will enjoy a fun and positive work environment, although be prepared for a physically demanding role that requires multitasking, cleaning, and lifting dogs, food, and supplies. These four-legged companions will keep you on your toes and keep you active throughout the day!
We usually have part-time positions available, offering approximately 20-30 hours per week, with opportunities for more hours. Your schedule may vary from week to week and will include weekdays, weekends, and some holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Engage, play, and supervise groups of dogs in an active, off-leash play environment.
- Monitor and track dog behaviors, relationships, and health conditions.
- Maintain the highest standards for dog safety and security.
- Perform heavy cleaning duties, including waste cleanup, mopping, scrubbing, and sweeping.
- Ensure proper feeding and administer medications as required.
- Collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional pet care in a team-oriented setting.
Qualifications:
- Be 18+ years old
- Energy and stamina for a physically demanding role.
- A genuine passion for working hands-on with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays, understanding that dogs need care every day.
- Ability to handle large groups of off-leash dogs in a positive and compassionate manner.
- Patience, tolerance, and a love for dogs’ quirks, including barking, waste, odor, and hair.
- Punctuality, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Desire to learn every day – we’d like to see you move on from this job to administration, training or other roles where we can help you get there.

Job Summary:
We're on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Pet Groomer to join our grooming operations. This role is perfect for someone who excels at dog grooming and is looking to continue grow his/her career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grooming Excellence: Deliver high-quality grooming services, including bathing, brushing, trimming, and styling for our furry clientele, ensuring they look and feel their best.
- Client Relationships: Manage your own client bookings and work closely with the daycare/boarding and training department heads to ensure seamless service delivery. Communicate directly with pet owners to understand and meet their pets' needs.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in professional pet grooming.
- Expertise in grooming various breeds and understanding their specific needs.
- Proficient in using grooming tools and equipment, including clippers, shears, brushes, and combs.
- A compassionate approach to animal handling. (FearFree Certification is welcomed)
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to high grooming standards.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift pets as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective interaction with pet owners and team members.
- Any certification is a plus
