THE BEST CARE FOR YOUR PUPS!
At DogCity, our boarding services are an extension of our daycare program. As dog owners ourselves, we understand the anxiety of leaving your pup with someone else. That’s why we focus on providing a personalized experience while prioritizing the safety and well-being of every dog. For over a decade, DogCity has been a trusted part of the West Seattle dog community, offering exceptional daycare, grooming, and boarding services
Dinner time
When the daycare crowd heads home, we organize feeding sessions in individual spaces—kennels, runs, or other setups—to ensure your dog’s meal is their own and not shared.
Overnight
After dinner, it’s time for movie night! Dogs can cuddle, relax, and enjoy a cozy environment. Our kennel-free setup offers comfortable cots, or your pup can snuggle up with our wranglers for extra warmth and affection.
Breakfast
The morning starts with potty breaks and a calm breakfast, preparing your pup for the arrival of the daycare pack.
BENEFITS OF KENNEL FREE BOARDING
Socialization & Mental Stimulation
Dogs thrive on interaction, and our kennel-free environment allows them to socialize with other pups in a supervised setting. This promotes mental stimulation and reduces boredom
Stress-Free Environment
Unlike traditional kennels, our home-like setup provides freedom and comfort, helping dogs relax and enjoy their stay without the stress of confinement.
Personalized Experience
With 24/7 supervision, every dog receives individualized attention tailored to their needs and personality, giving you peace of mind.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Every dog is unique, and we strive to create a safe, welcoming space for all. To ensure kennel-free boarding is the right fit, we follow a strict process to evaluate each pup’s temperament and health.
Health first
All boarders must be up-to-date on vaccinations and parasite testing. Dogs showing symptoms of illness will need to stay home, and we’re happy to recommend trusted home sitters if needed.
Vetted Group
For safety, only active daycare participants are eligible for boarding. This allows us to evaluate their behavior with staff and other dogs. Once approved, dogs are tagged as ‘Kennel-Free Boarding Approved’ for easy booking.
Planning is Key
We host a limited number of dogs each night, so early reservations are essential. For dogs more comfortable in kennels, our sister location, Seattle Canine Club, is a great option.

FAQ
Kennel free means your dog will not be caged or kenneled by him/herself during night time. The night routine will invite all dogs to find their preferred spot among beds, cots, blankeds or jumping in bed with our staff. Usually, our staff will read, study, or watch TV before calling the night. All dogs will be in the same area without barriers.

If a dog is staying with us but acting out to the point that requires some solo time, we have multiple kennels intended for a short period of time where we can house them. We don't offer these as regular accomodations because we only have 4 of them available.
Every dog undergoes a "meet and greet" evaluation before boarding to assess their temperament and comfort in a social environment. This helps us ensure compatibility and safety during their stay.
All dogs that are boarding together are known dogs and have at least multiple daycare experiences at Dogcity which allow us to get to know their peculiar needs.
